I'm excited to apply for a Teacher’s Assistant position as part of my supervised field class. I've always had a passion for working with children, and over the years, I’ve gained experience through babysitting, tutoring, and volunteering in school settings. These experiences have helped me develop patience, strong communication skills, and an understanding of how to support students with different learning needs.
I’m working toward a career in education, and I see this opportunity as a valuable step in gaining hands-on experience in the classroom. I'm eager to assist teachers with daily tasks, help students stay engaged and on track, and learn more about classroom management and instructional strategies. I’m dependable, hardworking, and always open to feedback. Most of all, I’m excited to grow as an educator and make a positive impact in the classroom.
As a Student Assistant for the TRIO Upward Bound Math-Science program, I support first-generation, low-income high school students in preparing for college, especially in STEM fields. I provide tutoring in core subjects, help plan educational events and college visits, and manage the program’s social media presence. As a former participant, I also serve as a mentor, offering guidance through the college application process and helping students confidently navigate their academic journeys.
