Work Experience

Legislative Affairs Assistant
California Environmental Voters Aug 2021 - Present
  • Monitored and analyzed newly introduced legislation to assess alignment with organizational priorities; tracked bills throughout the legislative cycle and drafted official position and support letters.
  • Managed and organized internal resources, including fact sheets, position letters, coalition sign-on letters, legislative priority lists,  legislative office contacts, and created power maps for our priority bills.
  • Supported advocacy efforts by scheduling legislative meetings, including monthly planning sessions with legislators, meetings with legislative staff about our support bills, and meetings with key legislative committees.
  • Coordinated across teams to execute advocacy events such as our Annual Green California Advocacy Day, educational webinars on our priority bills, engagement meetings involving our Scorecard, and multiple other online membership events for our sponsored bill SB 253 (2023).
  • Collected and managed all the data for our yearly California Environmental Scorecard, including attending strategy meetings with the Policy Advocacy Director and Legislative Affairs Manager.
