Work Experience

Legislative Assistant
California Immigrant Policy Center - Present

Leads and examines annual bill tracking process using Capitol Track, provides bill status and legislative updates during weekly calls, and monitors bills in legislative committees. Plans and executes Sacramento events, including the annual Immigrant Day of Action (IDA), overseeing event logistics and managing the scheduling process, resulting in over 100 lobby visits for 400 IDA attendees. Advances the strategic implementation of policy priorities by analyzing current political trends, engaging with partners and coalition members, establishing strong relationships with legislative offices, and uplifting positions through public comment and position letters. Conducted in-depth analysis of California’s ballot proposition, and members' voting patterns, presenting analysis to staff and over 200 partners during CIPC’s monthly statewide calls.
