Champions, part of KinderCare Learning Companies, provides before- and after-school programs for elementary-aged children on school campuses. At Champions, we support hardworking families by creating a safe, caring, and engaging environment where children can learn, build friendships, grow in confidence, and have fun outside of the regular school day.

At our John Muir Elementary site in San Bruno, we are looking for qualified and caring teachers who enjoy working with school-age children and understand the importance of safety, supervision, positive guidance, and meaningful activities. Our teachers help create a structured and welcoming environment where children feel supported, respected, and encouraged.

This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about children, dependable, energetic, patient, and ready to be part of a team. Experience in early childhood education, child development, school-age care, recreation, or classroom support is strongly preferred. ECE or Child Development units are a plus and may be required depending on the position.

Responsibilities include supervising children, supporting daily routines, leading activities, assisting with homework or enrichment opportunities, maintaining a safe environment, communicating professionally with families and staff, and helping children develop positive social skills.

We are especially looking for individuals who understand that after-school care is not just “watching children.” It is an important part of the child’s day, and we need adults who are committed, responsible, and ready to make a difference.
